About

Many women across the country dream of winning a national title. However, accomplishing such a dream is never an easy journey.

I have been competing in pageants for over 5 years and have held two titles; Miss Racine’s Outstanding Teen 2011, and Miss Burlington Area ChocolateFest 2014. This past June I had the opportunity to compete for Miss Wisconsin. I am thankful to have learned more than I could ever imagine about myself. While competing at the Miss Wisconsin pageant I realized what level I need to be at in order to be successful. A wise woman once said something along the lines, “When you compete at Miss Wisconsin you need to be ready to compete at Miss America.”- Miss Wisconsin 2013.

I am a person who believes that the journey holds more importance than the destination in life. Although competing at Miss Wisconsin again is a goal of mine that is also a physical destination, it’s really the process that will help me evolve as women and even challenge my thoughts, beliefs, and abilities as a person. I plan to blog about my journey to Miss Wisconsin; it may take me a year, two years, three years, or I may even age-out before I am given the opportunity. Either way, I want to show the positive transformations that being part of pageants can do for young women. Yet, that does not mean there won’t be challenged and frustration within the process. It is only through doubt and challenges that people can allow themselves to grow.
